Terms of use
These terms govern your use of aom.tools, including the documentation, AOM Validator, downloads, agent registration service, and the AOM Surface Explorer browser extension. By using this site you agree to these terms. The AOM specification and reference materials hosted on agentobjectmodel.org are MIT licensed and have their own separate terms.
Acceptable use
You may use aom.tools for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use the validator, registration service, or downloads to build tools designed to harm, deceive, or defraud users or site owners
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload any aom.tools service in a way that disrupts normal operation
- Misrepresent AOM compliance — the AOM™ trademark and badge assets may not be used to falsely claim conformance
- Share, resell, or transfer registration keys issued to you to third parties
Registration keys
When you register an agent via aom.tools, you are issued a registration key. You are responsible for keeping your key secure. aom.tools may revoke keys that are misused or associated with abusive agent behaviour. We do not guarantee permanent availability of the registration service.
Downloads and SDKs
AOM Agent Kits and plugins available for download are MIT licensed. You may use, modify, and distribute them freely under those terms. We make no warranty that the SDKs are fit for any particular purpose. Use in production is at your own risk.
Validator
The AOM Validator is provided as a convenience tool. A passing validation result means your JSON conforms to the published AOM schema at the time of validation — it does not constitute a certification, endorsement, or guarantee of agent compatibility. We may log summary validation results (not your full JSON) for service improvement.
No warranty
aom.tools is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, or that any tool or output will be error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aom.tools maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or its tools, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Intellectual property
AOM™ and Agent Object Model™ are trademarks used to identify this initiative. The aom.tools site content (outside of MIT-licensed SDK code) is copyright © 2026 AgentObjectModel.com. You may link to and quote from this site with attribution. You may not reproduce site content wholesale or imply endorsement.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
